Your Environmental Chatbot — Free, Offline, Zero Data Tracking
What is Kali?
Kali is a free, offline environmental chatbot created by the Rotary Club of Luntiang Maynila Prime (Rotary District 3810, Philippines). It's not an AI model — instead, it's a rule-based assistant with a curated knowledge base, so everything runs on your device with:
- No account — no sign-up needed
- No data tracking — nothing is sent anywhere
- No server farms — runs entirely in your browser
- Works offline — after the first load, you don't need internet

About the Data
Why Kali is different:
Unlike most chatbots, Kali is not an AI model. It uses a curated knowledge base of about 61 core topics and 230 plants, with intelligent keyword matching. This design means:
- No training on web scrapes or private data
- Every answer is vetted, not randomly generated
- No server calls — nothing about you leaves your device
- Herbal and health content is carefully framed: "traditionally used for" (never "cures")
- When you're online and Kali doesn't know something, it may fetch a summary from Wikipedia; health questions are never looked up online
Typo Tolerance
Kali forgives most typos — spelling mistakes are automatically corrected without a "did you mean" prompt. Just type naturally.
If Kali Doesn't Know
- Check the spelling — typos are usually handled, but very unusual spellings may not match
- Try rewording — ask a different way or ask for a list of topics
- If online, it may search — Kali can fetch a short Wikipedia summary if you're connected to the internet (except for health topics, which stay offline)
- Ask about related topics — if a plant isn't known, try asking about a similar one or a recipe
